Leading condiments maker NutriAsia, Inc. recently won recognitions for excellent packaging at the PhilStar Awards, the prestigious national award for excellence in packaging design.
Its winning designs are the Datu Puti 19-liter Stackable PET under the Food–Institutional category and the UFC Disney Color Crazee Squeezable Bottles under the Food–Retail category. Both scored high in functionality and aesthetics.
Notably, NutriAsia is a consistent winner at PhilStar Awards. In 2017, it had won in the Food–Retail Category for Packaging Excellence for the 500ml Datu Puti Stackable Pares PET bottle.
Being recognized for excellence in packaging proves NutriAsia’s strengthening thrust in placing equal focus and importance on their packaging and the product it contains. With the market’s changing demands, the condiment maker continues to challenge its product development, particularly its packaging excellence.
Datu Puti 19-Liter Stackable PET
Containers commonly used for large-volume orders were prone to cracks, failed in drop tests, and were made of recycled materials from unknown sources. NutriAsia thus redesigned its 19-liter PET (polyethylene terephthalate) container to improve the product packaging for its institutional customers.
With this in mind, NutriAsia developed a new 19-liter container that is sturdier, and made of high quality, food grade and safe materials. The company further improved the design by making it stackable with a square shape, making the containers space savers. Thus, the Datu Puti 19-liter PET plastic container ultimately revolutionized the packaging for NutriAsia’s high-volume customers.
UFC Disney Color Crazee Squeezable Bottles
Wanting to help parents make mealtimes more fun for their children, NutriAsia decided to create a new design variant for its glass catsup bottles with fun, squeezable containers that can give children the freedom to be creative with their food.
NutriAsia thus came up with the UFC Color Crazee squeezable bottles with twist nozzle that kids can draw with using different colored catsup. UFC Color Crazee also comes in a four-color set variant, with Disney characters on its label.
The PhilStar Awards is given by the Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP), a national association for the packaging industry, to recognize manufacturers, converters and marketers of packaging materials that have exceptional, innovative, creative, and/or environmentally friendly designs.
