NUTRIASIA Cebu Completes Third Installment of 2025 Tree Planting Commitment

NutriAsia Cebu Plant continues to live out its commitment to a healthy natural environment with the completion of the third tranche of its 2025 Tree Planting Activities last September 5, 2025 in partnership with the Villahermosa People’s Organization and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (DENR-CENRO).

A total of 1,104 seedlings were transplanted during this latest reforestation efforts held at the Villahermosa planting site, where over 50 Nutriasia employee volunteers and business partners participated. The initiative, part of the plant’s four-phase/year commitment to reforestation and community engagement, reinforced NutriAsia’s dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The day began with an early morning assembly at the NutriAsia Cebu Plant, followed by a scenic journey to the planting site. After a short orientation and toolbox meeting, volunteers from NutriAsia and its partners enthusiastically planted seedlings across the designated areas. The team also revisited the sites of the first and second tranches, where previously planted trees are now showing healthy growth, a testament to the long-term success of the program.

“This activity is more than just compliance — it’s a reflection of our shared responsibility to protect the environment,” said Allan Sitjar, Cebu Plant Manager. “Seeing the growth of the trees from our previous tranches is a powerful reminder that our efforts are bearing fruit — literally and figuratively.”

Michael Ycong, Environment and Health Officer, added: “We’re proud of the collaboration across teams and partners. Every seedling planted today contributes to a greener future and strengthens our relationship with the community and the DENR.”

NutriAsia, makers of the Philippines’ best condiments and sauces, sustains Masarap, Masaya moments not only through its iconic portfolio of kitchen and pantry staples but also through its programs on environmental protection, community partnership, and responsible business practices.
