Tropang Cabuyao (the name employees from NutriAsia’s Cabuyao plant call themselves), together with third-party partners, rolled up their sleeves for a day of meaningful interaction planting trees and cleaning waterways with fellow community stakeholders in the recently held multisectoral environmental community engagement initiative organized by the City Government of Cabuyao last October 17, 2025.
Held along the riverside of Barangay San Isidro, the activity was co-organized by the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) and the Cabuyao River Protection Advocates (CaRPA).
A total of one hundred fifty (150) volunteers across Cabuyao City, including volunteers from The Philippine National Police (PNP), The Bureau of Jail Managment and Penology (BJMP), and the Bureau of Fire (BFP), planted native trees and collected trash along waterways as part of the Maglinis at Magaral para sa Kalikasan at Pamayanan initiative of Mayor Dennis Felipe C. Hain. This flagship environment program blends hands-on clean up and tree planting with engaging environmental education for residents, businesses, and community groups.
“Every tree we plant and every piece of trash we remove is a step toward a healthier city and a more resilient future for all of us that call Cabuyao our home,” said Plant Operations Manager, Gonver Valencia. “Tropang Cabuyao is proud to stand with the city and our partners in turning environmental action into everyday habit.”
The event drew participants from various sectors, fostering collaboration and raising awareness about river protection and proper waste management. By combining tree planting with trash collection and interactive learning sessions, Maglinis at Magaral aims to inspire lasting behavioral change among Cabuyao stakeholders.
