Lumpiang Hubad

This is a dish after a veggie-lover’s own heart: crisp vegetables topped with a sweet peanut sauce. Meat lovers will likewise appreciate how it lends freshness to other viands.

INGREDIENTS

  1. 3 Tbsp Golden Fiesta Canola Oil
  2. 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  3. 1 pc medium onion, sliced
  4. 1 cup thinly sliced kamote
  5. ½ cup thinly sliced singkamas
  6. ½ cup thinly sliced carrot
  7. ½ cup thinly sliced Baguio beans
  8. 3 Tbsp cooked garbanzos, (optional)
  9. 1 Tbsp DATU PUTI Patis
  10. ¼ tsp UFC Ground Pepper

LUMPIA SAUCE:

  1. 1 cup water
  2. ¼ cup SILVER SWAN Soy Sauce
  3. ½ cup brown sugar
  4. 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  5. 1 Tbsp cornstarch , dissolved in 3 Tbsp water

TOPPINGS:

  1. 1 small head (120 g) lettuce, separated
  2. ¼ cup sugar
  3. ¼ cup ground peanuts
  4. 3 Tbsp chopped garlic
  5. ¼ tsp UFC Ground Pepper

PREPARATION

  • 1. Saute garlic and onions. Add remaining vegetables and seasonings .  Cook for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally  .  Set aside.
  • 2. Combine all ingredients for sauce. Simmer with continuous stirring until thickens.  Set aside.
  • 3. Serve  vegetables  topped with sauce and peanuts .
