INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 30 g onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed or minced
- 150 g pork, sliced
- 50 g potato, sliced
- 50 g carrots, sliced
- 1 rice cup (takal) rice, washed
- 2 rice cup (takal) water***
- 1 pack (100 g) UFC Ready Recipe Menudo
- 1 ½ tsp Datu Puti Patis (optional)
- 1 tsp raisin (optional)
*Note: Rice cup, commonly known as takal, is a 180 mL cup usually included with rice cookers.
*** Adjust water as needed based on rice used
PROCEDURE:
- In a rice cooker pot, add oil, onion, garlic and pork.
- Plug and press cook. Saute for 3 minutes until pork has browned.
- Add washed rice, water, potato and carrots. Cover and allow to cook for 12 – 13 minutes until most of the water has evaporated.
- Once rice is almost cooked, add tomato sauce, patis and raisins. Cover and allow to fully cook for 5 – 6 minutes.
- Mix before serving.
