Rice Cooker Bicol Express Rice

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1 rice cup (takal) rice, washed
  • 1 ½ rice cup (takal) water

 

 

*Note: Rice cup, commonly known as takal, is a 180 mL cup usually included with rice cookers.

 

PROCEDURE:

  1. Saute ginger and pork in oil for 3 – 5 minutes.
  2. Add rice and water. Cook for 10 – 12 minutes or until rice is almost cooked.
  3. Add gata mixture, bagoong alamang and siling haba.
  4. Cook for 5 minutes until gata mix has been absorbed by the rice.
