INGREDIENTS:
- 100 g pork, cut in strips
- 1 rice cup* (180 mL cup) washed rice
- 1 ½ rice cup* (180 mL) water
- 2 tsp Datu Puti Patis
- 1 pack UFC Ready Recipes Kare-Kare mix (dissolve in ½ rice cup water)
- 50 g eggplant, sliced
- 50 g sitaw, sliced
- 50 g pechay, sliced
Note: Rice cup, commonly known as takal, is a 180 mL cup usually included with rice cookers.
PROCEDURE:
- In a rice cooker, add pork, washed rice water and patis.
- Cover rice cooker. Plug and press cook.
- While cooking, dissolve UFC Ready Recipes Kare Kare mix in water.
- After 10 minutes or when rice is almost cooked, add dissolved Kare Kare mixture, eggplant, sitaw, and pechay.
- Simmer for 5 minutes or until the vegetables are cooked.
- Unplug rice cooker to prevent it from burning.
- Mix and enjoy!
