Marilao Team caps the certification audit with the mandatory picture taking together with SGS facilitators.
Nutriasia’s Marilao Plant has once again proven its dedication to food safety, earning the prestigious FSSC 22000 Version 6 certification last June 30, 2025. The certification, awarded after a thorough audit by global inspection leader SGS, marks another year of the plant’s compliance with rigorous international food safety management standards.
This annual achievement highlights the Plant’s relentless focus on delivering safe, high-quality products to consumers. The FSSC 22000 Version 6 standard, recognized worldwide, ensures that food producers adhere to strict protocols, safeguarding public health and building consumer trust.
Leading the charge was Plant Operations Manager Egay Ortega, also the plant’s Food Safety Team Lead (FSTL), who worked closely with the Food Safety Core Team, comprised of members from Total Quality Management (TQM), Supply Chain (SC), Research & Development (R&D), Corporate Procurement Group (CPG), and Human Resources (HR). Their daily commitment to upholding food safety practices was pivotal in securing the certification.
“Food safety is at the heart of everything we do,” said Ortega. “This certification is a testament to our team’s hard work and our shared goal of ensuring every product meets the highest standards.”
The audit, conducted by SGS, evaluated the plant’s processes, from production to personnel training, confirming compliance with the latest FSSC 22000 requirements. The Marilao Plant’s success reflects its robust systems and the team’s proactive approach to maintaining excellence.
Employees across departments celebrated the milestone, recognizing it as a collective victory. “It’s not just about passing an audit,” said Rossel Abangan, Sr. TQ Manager of the Marilao Plant. “It’s about knowing we’re doing right by our customers every single day. We will continue to help create Masarap, Masaya moments through our high quality and safe products for our consumers everywhere.”
Nutriasia’s Marilao Plant continues to set a benchmark in the industry, blending innovation with uncompromising safety standards. As consumer demand for transparency grows, this certification reinforces the plant’s position as a trusted leader in food production.
“Keeping our quality certifications demonstrates our commitment to excellence, food safety, and customer trust. We will continue this momentum as we work toward maintaining the certifications of our other plants and strengthening our reputation within the organization and across the industry.” Shared Susan Virador, Nutriasia’s Total Quality Management Group Head.
