INGREDIENTS:
- 1 pc Pork Pata (Front Leg Part) (1.3kg)
- 3 L Water
- 1 pack Wow Sarap All-in-One Seasoning Granules (4g)
- 200 ml UFC Golden Fiesta Canola Oil
- 3 pcs Garlic Clove, Sliced
- 1/4 cup Vinegar
- 1/2 cup Datu Puti Soy Sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp UFC whole pepper
- 2 pcs Star Anise
- 1 pc UFC Laurel
- 1 pc Chinese Cabbage , Trimmed (optional) (150 g)
PROCEDURE:
1. Make shallow cuts on the surface of pata. Boil enough water and simmer pata for 5 minutes. Drain and discard broth. Season pata with seasoning granules. Brown all sides of pata in oil.
2. Transfer into a deep pot. Add remaining ingredients except cabbage. Cover and simmer over low heat for 2 hours or until desired tenderness, turning pata halfway. Remove pata.
3. Add cabbage to the sauce and simmer just to soften. Transfer onto a platter. Arrange pata on top. If desired, continue simmering the sauce until thickened. Pour over pata. Serve.
