INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 cup Water
- 1.5 g Dashi powder
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 2 tbsp Mirin
- 3 tbsp Japanese soy sauce
- 1 tbsp White sugar
- 150 g Beef sukiyaki, sliced into 1.5 to 2 inch length
- 100 g White onion, fine julienned
- 50 g Onion leeks, thinly sliced, bias cut, half for garnish
- 500 g cooked rice, a day old
- 1 Pickled red ginger (Optional, as needed)
PROCEDURE:
1. Mix sauce ingredients in a pan. Let it boil.
2. Add beef, white onion and half of the onion leaks. Mix and let it cook for a minute or so.
3. Serve over a bowl of rice and garnish with remaining leeks.
