INGREDIENTS:
- 1/2 kg beef sirloin (or any tender cut of beef), thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (divided)
- 1/2 cup Golden Fiesta Corn or Palm Oil
- 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup medium onion, sliced
- 1/2 cup UFC Garden Fresh Mushroom Pieces and Stem
- 1 stalk celery, sliced
- 1 pc small red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup Datu Puti Oyster Sauce
- 3/4 cup water, adjust to preference
- 1 stalk leek, sliced
- 2 g Wow Sarap all-in-one seasoning granules [Marinade]
- 1/4 tsp sesame oil (optional) [Marinade]
- 1 tsp garlic, minced [Marinade]
- 1 tsp Silver Swan Cane Vinegar [Marinade]
- 1 tbsp brown sugar [Marinade]
PROCEDURE:
1. Marinate beef for 1 hour or overnight in the refrigerator. Mix with half of the cornstarch. Fry by batch in oil until just browned. Set aside.
2. Sauté ginger, onion, mushroom, and remaining vegetables, except leeks. Add beef, oyster sauce, and water. Cover and simmer over low heat for 45 minutes or until meat is tender.
3. Add dissolved cornstarch if desired. Simmer until thick. Add leek.
