INGREDIENTS:
- 4 pcs ripe saba banana, cut into 2, lengthwise
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 8 pcs (medium) lumpia wrappers
- 2 tbsp ube jam
- 2 pcs ripe langka (fresh or preserved), cut into 4 strips
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup cooking oil
PROCEDURE:
1. Coat sliced banana with ½ cup sugar. Mix well. Set aside.
2. Top 4 slices of banana with langka, and the other slices with ube jam.
3. Wrap in lumpia wrapper. Seal edges with water .
4. Heat cooking oil. Add remaining sugar to oil. Fry turon until golden brown on both sides and sugar has caramelized.
