INGREDIENTS:
- 1 kg puso ng saging (2 pcs), red-saba variety
- 200 g pork, sliced
- 1 pc medium red onion, sliced
- 1 pc small ginger, sliced
- 2 pcs sili haba, sliced (optional)
- 2 packs UFC Ready Recipes gata mix (45 g each), dissolved in 1 to 2 cups meat broth or water
- 1 pack Wow Sarap all-in-one seasoning granules (4g)
- 1/2 tsp UFC Ground Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Jufran Thai fish sauce (to taste)
- 1/2 tsp Jufran red hot chili sauce
PROCEDURE:
1. Trim puso ng saging to remove the hard outer layer (2 to 3 layers). Cut into two and remove the core (hard middle part). Slice into strips. Soak in warm water to avoid darkening.
2. Boil enough water. Add drained puso ng saging. Boil for 25 minutes. Drain and cool. Squeeze a bit. Set aside.
3. Sauté pork until oil comes out.
4. Add onion, ginger and sili. Sauté for 2 minutes.
5. Add gata mix, seasoning, and ground pepper. Season with fish sauce and hot sauce to taste. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
6. Add puso ng saging. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
