Prawn Curry

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 tbsp palm oil
  • 3 pcs garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 pc medium onion, sliced
  • 1/2 tbsp turmeric, sliced
  • 3 stalks tanglad (white part), pounded
  • 1 pc laurel leaf
  • 2 pc sili pansigang, sliced
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 400 g large shrimp or prawn, half shelled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2 tbsp gata mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 stalks wansoy

PROCEDURE:

1. Sauté garlic, onion, turmeric, tanglad, laurel leaf, sili, and curry powder. Add shrimp. Sauté 3 minutes. Remove shrimp.
2. In the same pan, add hot sauce, fish sauce, gata mix, and ½ cup water. Simmer for 2 minutes. Add shrimp. Simmer until just cooked. Top with wansoy.
