INGREDIENTS:
- 1 rice cup* rice, pre-washed
- 1 Tbsp UFC Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix, dissolved in 2 rice cups water
- 100 – 200 g liempo, sliced into small strips
- 1 pc small tomato, sliced into wedges
- 1 pc small red onion, sliced
Optional vegetables you may have in your refrigerator:

- 1 pc okra, sliced
- 1 pc sitaw / string beans, sliced
- 20 g eggplant, sliced
*Note: Rice cup, commonly known as takal, is a 180 mL cup usually included with rice cookers.
PROCEDURE:
- In a rice cooker, add pre-washed rice, water – Sinigang mix, meat, tomato, and onion.
- Cover rice cooker. Plug and press cook.
- While cooking, dissolve UFC Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix in water.
- After 15 minutes, add the Sampalok – water mixture and vegetables. Note: For a soupier consistency, once finished and in warm setting:
- Dissolve ½ Tbsp Sampalok mixture in 1 rice cup water and add.
- Leave in warm setting for 1 minute to allow its flavors to be incorporated into the whole dish.
- Mix and enjoy!
