INGREDIENTS:
- 1 cup of Rice, pre-washed
- 1 tbsp UFC Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix
- 2 cup Water (for dissolving Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix)
- 200 g Pork Belly, sliced into small strips
- 1 pc Tomato,small, sliced into wedges
- 1 pc Red onion,small, sliced
- 1 pc Okra, sliced
- 1 pc String beans, sliced
- 20 g Eggplant, sliced
PROCEDURE:
1. In a rice cooker, add pre-washed rice, sinigang sa sampalok and water mixture, sliced pork belly, tomato, and red onion.
2. Cover rice cooker. Plug and press cook.
3. After 15 minutes, add sliced vegetables.
Note: For a soupier consistency, once finished and in warm setting:
– Dissolve ½ Tbsp Sinigang sa Sampalok Mix in 1 rice cup water and add.
– Leave in warm setting for 1 minute to allow its flavors to be incorporated into the whole dish.
4. Mix and enjoy.
*Note: Rice cup, commonly known as takal, is a 180 mL cup usually included with rice cookers.
